Little Youth Soccer

Ages 4-5 & 6-7

YMCA Little Youth Soccer is a 6 week introductory soccer program will focus on developing coordination and getting introduced to the basic skills & rules of soccer. Practices are two days per week from 5:30-6:30pm in the evenings in Los Alamos and White Rock. Teams of 6-8 players allow for easier coaching, and more practice time and more game time for players. Volunteer coaches, assistants, and team parents are needed. Volunteer coaches will be provided lesson plans & skills and drills ideas. Players get to keep their awesome team jerseys, sponsored by Los Alamos Children's Dentistry! NEW: participants will also get a soccer ball to keep!

Season Fee: $80/ $60 for Y Members
Coach Discount: $30 discount for coaches! Limit 1 head coach and 1 assistant coach per team.
NEW: Included in registration, participants will get a soccer ball to keep!

Spring 2026

Register: February 13th - March 29th, 2026
Season: April 13th - May 21st, 2026

Fall 2026

Register: July 2nd - August 9th, 2026
Season: August 24th - October 1st, 2026

***AGE RESTRICTION RULE: Child must be a minimum of 4 years old by start date of season OR turn 4 years old during the season to be able to register for LYS. If child does not meet 4 year old age guideline, please refer to our Little Kickers program or Challenger Soccer camp below for more age-appropriate programs. As for the 6-7 year old division, your child must be no older than 7 years old by the start of the season to be eligible. If child turns 8 years old within the season, this is fine. However, child cannot be 8+ years old before the start of the season.

Program payment policy: payment upon registration is required, no refunds, credits will be given on a case to case basis.

VOLUNTEER COACHES NEEDED! These programs rely on volunteers. Volunteer coaches of any experience level are needed and greatly appreciated. NOTE! Volunteer Coaches will get a discount on their registration for the season!
